The Anker Solix S2000 stands out as a compact 2kWh power station built for efficient UPS use, fridge backup, and light camping or car camping. The low weight, small footprint, and high efficiency make it easier to place and carry than many similar units, and the app features for peak and off peak charging, solar prioritization, and storm top ups add real utility. The main tradeoffs are the 1500W inverter, 400W solar input, 100W USB C limit, and lack of a cigarette lighter port. That makes it a strong fit when portability and long runtime matter more than raw output.

  • The S2000 is designed for UPS-like always-on use with low idle draw and high measured efficiency.

  • The unit's storm event feature can top up to 100% ahead of an approaching weather event.

  • The S2000 is positioned as a compact, lightweight 2kWh option that fits tight spaces better than many alternatives.

  • The Anker Solix software supports peak and off-peak charging and discharge scheduling for energy management.

  • The S2000's 400W max solar input can feel underpowered for solar charging expectations.

  • The S2000 lacks cigarette charging ports that some campers rely on for certain accessories.

  • The S2000's inverter and output limits can be viewed as downgrades versus higher-output alternatives.

  • The S2000 may arrive with a low starting charge, such as 27% when delivered.

Shipping says end of the month. Anyone ordered? Whats the delivery date?
Seems to be a moving target - Amazon currently says first week of July. I think first orders are end of June.

I ordered off of Anker Direct (they don't have a code, only a link for people who signed up) - in speaking to their support it's 'first order / first shipments', at least from the Anker Direct end... Assume it's the same for the Amazon orders.

Sorry for the war and peace I'm trying not to work and I'm trying to wrap up months of research in this area so my OCD can focus on other things.
.....
I totally agree, for many use cases, especially those centered around UPS role, efficiency and durability beats everything else.

For that reason I currently rock two Bluetti Elite 200 v2 as their idle power consumption is around only 10W, and their cells are rated for 6000 cycles. And S2000 is even better in those regards. Very, very tempting.

Many people do not realize that average unit's 20W idle power consumption does not not affect them only when power goes out. Since inverters are always kept powered up in the UPS mode (that is how switch happens in only 10ms or 20ms), that is also a constant parasitic power draw, 24/365. I will leave it up to you to calculate how much it will cost over a year, and then over a decade or two of projected life of the unit, but it adds up quite quickly.

BTW - Anker was adding support to some of their bigger 'home backup' units for 'just in time (for storm) top up' - forgot their official term for it - basically unit can sit normally at 50% charge (good for battery health) but when app receives storm warning for your area, power station starts immediate 'topping up' to 100% just in case you lose power during storm, and then after storm resets back to 50% charge. I think this is a killer feature, but even Anker does not offer it on their smaller units, and nobody else seems to have it (patent wars?). Anybody knows if this unit by any chance will have that killer feature? Would make total sense if unit's primary use case is to be backup power for the fridge...

They do have the storm event feature on this unit it seems from the early reviews (and I completely agree it's a killer future).

Also have peak and off peak charging which you don't always find on a unit of this size.

I have a Bluetti 100 v2 coming in this week I'm excited to put into UPS rotation for my router and network gear - any tips?

I've never used ankers power stations. I'd like to mix use this as a way to backup my server running 24/7 as a ups, and I'd like to charge it during peak solar and cheapest energy rate times. I've got a roof solar, but no battery storage or any way to add it really. My server goes through 2400 wh a day. If I could charge this from 11am-1pm every day, that would best case use up my solar excess, worst case on cloudy days, use cheaper power (peak rates are 2-7pm M-F). Is that something this could do? It probably won't be enough to go the entire day, so once it gets down to 20% I'd want to switch it to grid power.

I've got a whole house standby generator, so I don't need backup beyond 30 seconds during an outage.

Personally this appear to be a great deal for the overall capacity. Sure, it has it's drawbacks, but this is meant to be a compact, longlasting and efficient unit.
Its easy to want to compare this to the C2000 otlr other 2KW units but its purpose is slightly diff. If i didnt already have a C2000 i would def get it. Especially for park festivals or the beach, where a high capacity small unit to run fans, or other low watt devices is ideal. This would be much more portable.
Now if i wanted to run a 1500w electric griddle plus charge my phone or run a fan then this wouldnt be as ideal.
Keep in mind this is also advertised as a compact refrigerator backup unit.

Anker has some of the best software out there for this sort of thing from my research - really good 'discharge at peak rate, recharge at off rate' options to tweak on this unit. Also has a 'top up to 100% if a weather alert is coming'.

Definitely has the capability to prioritize solar over grid, etc. Everything I've seen says it's the best in the business for that sort of thing but I have yet to put it through its paces as while I have a variety of other power stations, I haven't popped my Anker cherry yet until these units come in.

All power stations have ridiculous MSRPs that zero people actually pay so they can always be on 'sale'. Companies like Anker seem to just set some stupid price and then later on pretend the MSRP is at launch price. While this unit is launching quite a bit cheaper than other 2kWh units (it does have a less beefy inverter, but that's what gives it it's efficiency), I'd treat the 680 USD as the real MSRP.I suspect the 680 price tag will stick for at least 90 days but it won't hit the 599 again until Black Friday at the earliest; for one if buying direct from Anker, they do 90 day price matching and probably don't want to go below that figure in that time frame.... and once it is released, the 680 price is set with their whole ecosystem. A.k.a. if their C2000 is 15% off, the S2000 best case scenario will follow suit, otherwise you can buy a 2kWh from the same company for cheaper than the S2000 inverter be damned.
Oupes brand are pretty reasonable.

How would this be just to power a fridge during power outages and the occasional phone charging. My parents need something just for that.

Probably the best device for that function and what it was primarily designed for... but I think they deal may be dead at this point as the original message said 'promo runs until June 8th.'

Whoa - I ordered direct from Anker Solix and have not yet heard anything and probably won't until the end of the month.

What are your thoughts with it now you have it in hand?
