If this was a SJ product that ran off a chargeable battery, I would buy it for tha battery alone! This is an internal battery - wall plug charger and the charge lasts!! Cordless is convenient for so many reasons and so many uses. I keep it in my car. Leaving the house and you see the 'start' of a tree growing in the pachysandra or garden. You have forsythia encroaching the driveway, errant weeds or vines growing up and around trees. . and the one I use the most. . . grave upkeep! This is perfect to trim grass, weeds and a planted azalea bush.
Also, you can quickly accomplish something without carving off an entire weekend day for weed whacking!

I got rid of mine for this reason. It will damage your hearing if you don't use ear protection and it pisses off the neighbors. Their newer model fixed this issue.
