I was curious why they listed the data bandwidth (I wanted to see if it could function as a hub or just HDMI & charging), so I Googled what data is required for their claimed video specs- and it seems like those resolutions are not possible at that data rate unless it is compressed.
Maybe someone with more knowledge on the topic can chime in

"To output 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz with HDR, you require raw data rates between 68 Gbps and 80 Gbps. Because this exceeds the maximum uncompressed limits of current cables (HDMI 2.1 caps at 48 Gbps), they rely on Display Stream Compression (DSC), compressing the bandwidth down to around 20–30 Gbps visually lossless"

Yeah, I have a 4K240Hz monitor and you have to use DSC for that refresh rate. There's nothing I can notice about the image between 120Hz no-DSC vs. when its on.

This is the limit of HDMI 2.1. This is likely listed because most cable specs nowadays are very confusing, poorly organized, and labeled inconsistently. The HDMI version doesn't mean anything, because all of its new features are basically optional. That's why they specifically label it as 48Gbps, to confirm the most important feature of 2.1 (higher bitrate) works with this adapter. Everything else that comes with 2.1 will generally follow the bitrate, such as DSC needed for 8K resolutions

FYI: HDMI 2.1 is the second best video output in terms of bandwidth and performance. Only beaten by DP 2.1 which most monitors do not support since it's a newer technology. If you need the higher performance and your monitor does not support USB-C this is a good little device to have.
