Remember the Sunex brand, like a lot of brands, got bought out a few years back and these are now made in China. If you're thinking "my old Sunex tools are great" this is a different company.

Sunex (these specifically) are made in Taiwan where a lot of quality tools are coming from these days. Outside of US made and performance for hand tools, Taiwan seems to be the best dollar for performance. If you get them and they're made in China, which would not be what is advertised, just use Amazon's return policy and send them back under incorrect item description. Their products are still testing very well against current market offerings on torque test and project farm so I'm not sure what reference you're using to infer these are inferior.

*************Edit************* In case nobody reads further in this thread (even though price is dead), these did arrive as Made in China so following posters were correct.

These are made in China. Acme is usually the best resource for this, as they're one of the few places that list country of origin for specific SKUs. I'd agree its still worth paying for Taiwanese tools.

These used to made in Taiwan, but according to recent reviews, are now made in China.

That's very unfortunate if accurate. I can report back as I ordered to see and they arrive tomorrow.

Can confirm after receiving today, image on the box displays Taiwanese sockets but my box is black and contains made in China sockets. Very disappointing. Like I stated above, these are going back.
