Similar to the sold out front page Redragon MPC745 deal the other day, but faster and cheaper. 7940HS about 3% to 5% faster than 8845HS in Redragon depending on task.
https://slickdeals.net/f/19590210-redragon-mpc745-mini-pc-amd-ryzen-7-8845hs-16gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-radeon-780m-395-free-shipping?src=SDSearchv3&attrsrc=Thread%3AExpired%3ATrue%7CSearch%3AType%3Anormal%7CSearch%3ASort%3Arecent%7CSearch%3AHideExpired%3Afalse&peid=0d66a2e0-4f00-4a2d-b623-8566b24effea

There is a choice here of either the AriesBox10 with the 7840HS (slightly slower by 5%) or the AriesBox20 with the 7940HS. Basically the cost difference in options shown for the CPU is $25. Also there is a choice between the 512GB SSD and a 1TB SSD. The cost difference is $40 between the drive choices. So you can get the cheapest configuration for $288 or the most expensive configuration at $351.

https://www.aliexpress.us/item/32...pt=glo2usa

Same item on Amazon for $430
https://www.amazon.com/ADREAMER-A...B0DK332NV7

Last note for all these Aliexpress deals. The prices fluctuate by a couple bucks all the time due to currency value changes and a few other small adjustments. There may be a +/- 2 dollar spread when checking any of these deals.

This is a compact Zen 4 mini PC with an RDNA 3 780M iGPU, aimed at home, office, and light gaming. The hardware generally matches the listing, with 16GB DDR5 in a single SODIMM slot, an open memory slot for easy expansion, and an open NVMe bay. Performance and storage speed look solid, and adding a second RAM stick can improve results. The main caveats are the shaky Windows activation story, occasional setup hassles, and repeated fulfillment concerns, including wrong CPU variants, missing product keys, and even order cancellations.

  • The mini PC can deliver fast NVMe performance while matching the listed CPU and memory configuration.

  • The hardware configuration can check out with a Zen 4 CPU, RDNA 3 GPU, and a 16GB DDR5 stick.

  • The system supports dual-channel memory by adding a second SODIMM stick, which can improve 3DMark results.

  • The unit can include an open NVMe slot for expanding storage after purchase.

  • Windows setup can get stuck during PIN creation, requiring boot-disk and legacy key workarounds to proceed.

  • The Windows 11 product key can be missing or non-functioning, forcing manual workarounds or reliance on an existing license.

  • The listing and seller details can be inconsistent, including reports of receiving a different CPU model than ordered.

  • Windows activation can fail after wiping and reinstalling Windows 11, even when the hardware matches the listing.

If you mean this listing directly on Ali: https://www.aliexpress.com/i/3256...70831.html then carefully read the comments. They are a mix of random devices (some showing 1 ethernet port, others showing 2); some with CPUID of Intel not AMD, complaints about it not supporting NVMe (or at least coming only with a m.2 SATA vs NVMe drive, problems where normal m.2 A+E key Intel AX210 wifi/BT modules not compatible in it.

It seems they both have reused the same listing to build feedback and then change products and/or also have significant non-disclosure about limitations on hardware compatibility. Way too many red flags showing too much risk here vs. well researched/reviewed/more respected alternatives without a near-too-goo-to-be-true offering price that has continued to sell even though only "4" were available down to "1" and now back to "4" in the last 24 hours.

Anyone can call themselves an "Official" store and slightly change the name, what proof is there the US shipping version is really the same as the Chinese version. Pics in the Chinese listing show at least one version (8GB) ram was down to $169 USD in December, and clearly not the same version. Too many inconsistencies and risk here. For those that actually are taking the risk and ordering it, post your shipping details (ship date, arrival date, carrier) and what you actually get, if anything. We're all curious
I believe they used to sell Intel N based boxes in addition to the AMD ones in this same listing. As for the other things I'm not sure. Smilie
BTW I bought my wife's box in November for $240 shipped after coupon. So $169 would have to be an Intel N level CPU, just my guess. I believe the reviews show which type of machine the reviewer bought. No?

I'll give it a try. They do have an official website: https://www.adreamertech.com/AMD-...PG11354811I hope it actually turns up and works as advertised.
Well, I have an order shipped from Amazon Fulfillment (Swiship) for this Aliexpress order. It's scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I'll update with what I get when it arrives.

Yup, same here. Received the Amazon TBA tracking number. I'm guessing they're shipping from their Amazon housed stock in the US whether the purchase is from Amazon or Aliexpress. Hope everything checks out. Some were putting a lot of energy into making this deal out to be a scam.

Because the listing and seller details are all sketchy. Great if it is real, please post the real details. But even still the listing shows contradictory info like saying in one place it has 8GB ram in text form and then 16GB in image form / top item selector. Plus with the findings on the non-US store listing that they reuse same listing to gain feedback with multiple products over time, and rather generic item names linked to the feedback it's hard to pull apart what ones may have been for an N150 vs. an earlier or the current AMD. And there was some calling out promised NVMe but got M.2 SATA instead. That's why there are questions.

That said, if you get this today please download CPU-Z or similar and screenshot the CPU, Memory and Performance tabs so we can check what is actually arriving. It's the last day of the sale and if that helps others make a decision it would be helpful. Mostly people would be interested in:
  • Truly a 7840 or 7940 cpu?
  • 2 SODIMM slots or soldered on board now ?
  • 1 stick 16GB or 2x sticks 8GB (as it claims "dual channel") ?
  • NVMe or SATA m.2 drive (CrystalDiskInfo or similar utils can show that) included and is correct (512GB) size?
  • Single and Multi core CPU perf numbers in CPU-Z or better yet Passmark/Geekbench (proves it is not a neutered CPU config with chip rejects/Power limits)
  • Amount of viruses found on the drive using Windows Defender and Malwarebytes (a huge problem even as recent as April in Firebat's)
  • Is the Windows key valid / activated
Also if you click on each item on Amazon page, there are currently 3x 1 star feedback reporting won't boot, drive dead, no warranty, no support/replies, invalid windows license. 2 positive 5star feedback. That's way too risky for me. If yours works, great! The 1 stars are from verified purchasers. The 5 stars are not. Says a lot and why we're very skeptical here.

Is Windows key genuine on these boxes? Does anyone actually verify them? Sounds much better than the mini box we just bought from amazon.
Yes, generally all the Chinese minis have legit Win11 keys. The Microsoft price for those OEM licenses is very low in China, so if they're a legitimate brand, they tend to ship with real licenses tied to the mobo, that should reactivate Windows once rebuilt.

I'm sure your intentions are in the right place I just don't get calling the seller fake when the same seller has the product on Amazon shipped by Amazon. Good or bad reviews on the product is one thing but calling the deal a scam just seemed premature. Like a said I'll be the guinea pig and we'll see. Mines is schedule for delivery tomorrow. Hopefully it checks out.

Anyhow there's a guy on Youtube who did an over 3 hour overview of this unit just 2 weeks ago.

I order quite a bit of stuff from Aliexpress, and there are many shipping networks that use Amazon for last-mile delivery. I actually consider it the fastest option, and always hope it gets routed through Amazon since they operate such a tight network.

This site is my favorite for Aliexpress tracking... It gives you the most detail: https://parcelsapp.com/en/tracking/

If the delivery company is listed as Maersk Logistics And Services or Cainiao, it'll usually be routed through Amazon's network with: https://track.amazon.com/

As others are saying, please let us know if this one is legit! It's a good price on a Zen 4 / RDNA 3 mini.

On the Firebat deal in April the key was tied to the drive NOT the mobo. You couldn't transfer it to another drive you had to reformat the virus laden drive and download and install a reinstall from microsoft for the key to reactive correctly. Usually only the big western-primary sales ones (Lenovo, Dell, HP) have bios keys tied to the mobo. Still always a question if they are synthetic / stolen or authentic. They may expire sooner than later when not tied to the mobo.

I ordered. It arrived today. I unboxed, but hit wonky errors on initial setup. So I fully wiped the drive, reinstalled win 11, but would not activate. So take that as you will. Given some of these stories about budget Chinese machines, I feel safer having wiped/reinstalled, but it doesn't look like there's any easily activatable windows key once that's done. I had an extra I used, but beware.
Otherwise, it's so far so good - nvme speed is fast, CPU and memory are as listed. If you can live with the potentially problematic Windows key, it's a pretty good deal.

I ordered one, but it looks like they sent a group e-mail out telling me to cancel my order because they are out of stock. Anyone else get this?

Just got mine - like others, I had an issue getting Windows setup (stuck at creating a PIN). Windows Boot Disk + F2 + legacy Windows key = working great. Someone requested CPUZ screenshots - please see attached.
