Ocean Spray's white cranberry and cranberry watermelon juice drinks stand out as mixer-friendly, especially for cocktails and sparkling water, and the white cranberry flavor is handy when it is hard to find around the holidays. The taste can work well when diluted, with a 1 to 2 juice to water mix called out as a way to tame the sweetness. The main drawback is the sugar load, since the label lists water and sugar first, about 23 grams of added sugar per serving, and only about 10 to 15 percent fruit juice. It reads more like a sweetened juice drink than true juice, so it fits best when sweetness is the point.
White cranberry flavors can be hard to find around the holidays, which makes this option useful for holiday cocktail mixing.
The flavor can work well when mixed with carbonated water for a lighter drink.
Diluting the juice drink with water can reduce sweetness while keeping the taste enjoyable.
The label lists sugar as the second ingredient and shows 23 grams of added sugar per serving.
The product is labeled as a juice drink and can function like flavored sugar water because water and sugar are the top ingredients.
The drink can be too sugary for preferences that avoid high sweetness.
The bottle can contain only about 10-15% fruit juice from concentrate, which leaves most of the beverage as added sugar.
