And, correct me if I'm wrong; no possibility of evaporating the large amount of water it will collect, right?I'm under the impression that some or all of the dual hoses will attempt to dry out their pans, but otherwise they need a discharge pump and a drain line, or to dump their pans like a dehumidifier(?)

I can't speak to this model, but the one portable AC we have is single hose. I think whether or not you need a dual hose or frequent dumping will depend on your climate. If it's dry where you are, you're good to go. Super humid? Then maybe not. I'm in New England and we do get some days of nasty humidity, but so far I've not needed to drain the AC. Yet 🤞
