I like that the seam channels on this ball contour in a way that mimics a quality NBA basketball. It's still rubber.

If I needed a bunch of cheap rubber basketballs to get a bunch of kids playing, maybe it's not worth the price difference. But I would strongly prefer this ball over the generic ones if I could swing the extra $5.

These Wilson balls are, as my kids say "trash". They last maybe 1-2 months before losing air. Get a Spalding or any other brand for that matter.

I play on a silica-sand outdoor court where balls are worn down quickly. I have tried just about every cheap basketball under $20 and the DRV is the best value I've found. It has great grip and feel when new, and remains playable even after significant wear.
The AND1 balls are durable too but they don't feel good even when new; The Spalding balls feel great out of the box but deteriorate much faster than Wilson balls. Ofc all of this is specific to the budget balls under $20.

I really like the cheap AND1 rubbery balls once they wear down a bit. They get a nice smooth kinda texture which feels great when setting up for your shot.

They seem to last a few years before needing replaced.
