Serious question... can this thing do a legit New Haven-style pizza?

Need that thin, crispy crust with a little char on the bottom. If it passes the "one bite, everybody knows the rules" test, $120 seems pretty tempting.

It's pretty decent for a home machine. Not amazing but not bad. 6.5/10 says Portnoy!

I have an older version and it's ok, so they may have improved it. The back gets hotter than the front so you have to turn the pizza to get even cooking. It's takes about 6-7 minutes for the pizza to cook once the oven is to temp. If you add a 2nd pizza to cook right after the first, the stone lost tons of heat from the 1st pizza and the machine does not seem to automatically compensate for that. So when adding a 2nd pizza you need to increase the bottom temp to make sure it you get proper heating. The toppings seem to overcook before the crust making it difficult to deal with. I sometimes end up having to put a pizza tray above the pizza to prevent the toppings from burning.

It's an ok cheap oven that we bought for under $100 to see if we would want to buy a more expensive one. Now I know I want a different brand 16" with an auto rotating tray if possible.

Hello, I bought this more than a year ago from a Walmart SD. It works as advertised, takes about 18 minutes to heat up to 750F in the Neapolitan setting. I make pizza every Sunday on this and so far it has worked as advertised. As to the pizza, the heat from this is there, how you make your pizza dough, ingredients and everything else is on you.

I've used it a half dozen times, including tonight, and I've yet to be completely happy with the results. Taking the pizza out halfway through and rotating it helps but using fresh pizza dough even rolled and stretched thin tends not to cook all the way through unless I really turn down to oven to 425 and cook longer to avoid burning the top.

Has a small opening with a low ceiling which means you really have to flour up the pizza peel well to ensure it slides right off, but even then, there's been multiple times I've needed to use a spatula to assist to make sure the pizza gets far enough inside to be fully on the stone.
Overall, not super user friendly and too fiddly for my tastes. Your results may vary.

I purchased the pizza oven $50 slick deal last year which is very similar. I am guessing they just threw a fan in this model. The first one they shipped died on the 2nd use. The buttons stopped working right. The manufacturer did ship a replacement fairly quick after I sent them proof the cord was cut on the original one. Its a great pizza oven. I like this better than using an outdoor wood fired oven, except you dont get the smoke flavor. Being able to control the stone and top temp separately, allows you to dial in the right temps but that will take a little experimenting. I wouldn't call $120 a huge slick deal, if you are looking for a pizza oven, it works great.

Its a stone, check out the ridiculous number 3 picture with the woman pulling out the stone to get her pizza out of the oven. That's not how you use the oven. The last thing I want to do is pull out a 700 degree piece of stone.

Did they forget to tell their AI to put toppings on the pizza she is pulling out on that stone? It looks like two packets of catsup were smeared on the "pizza".

i have one, no problems except user error- you have to be quick with these- ( if homemade crust) the crust likes to stick to peel if you are not quick enough ( i also find that wooden is better then the metal peel) . but it cooks great ( i too have had a few pizza mess up and i just turned them into a calzone!) i have been waiting for summer, so i can sit mine outside and let it burn off the stone ( gotta burn off the spillage) i paid abut 200 for mine so i think this is a pretty good deal

I have one I've used for about 1.5 years and used maybe 40 times. It makes great pizza but you need to adjust settings. You need to increase bottom temp or else top will burn before bottom is ready, and one of those non stick pizza peels that roll out make it so much easier to get in the oven.
