The Pirelli P Zero All Season UHP in this 245 50R20 size is a high priced performance all season tire that stands out for wet and dry grip and a planted feel. The $160 price is repeatedly framed as strong versus typical $250 to $300 pricing, and real world totals around $680 for four tires plus installation make the deal look especially sharp. Fitment depends on 20 inch wheel width and load rating, and the larger sidewall can change the ride. Main cautions are faster wear, loud road noise on some cars, weak snow and ice performance, and the need to check the manufacturing date before storing them.

  • The deal can be comparatively strong versus recent tire price inflation for similar sizes and brands.

  • Some drivers report improved planted feel and a less rough ride after switching from other performance all-seasons.

  • The $160 price can be an excellent option for a V-rated 20-inch tire in this size.

  • The tires can fit any vehicle with 20-inch wheels in the 7 to 9 inch width range.

  • Manufacturing date matters because tires with a 2023 date reportedly can turn into hard rubber sooner if stored too long.

  • The tires can become very noisy after roughly 10 to 15 thousand miles and may not reach 30 thousand miles.

  • P Zero run-flats reportedly cannot be patched or plugged and may require replacement even for a nail in the tread center.

  • Tire aging can reduce drivability because rubber can stiffen after about 10 years even when tread still looks good.

Tires like these have gone up $25 each since the start of the war. I looked at mine early spring. $324. They are now $352 (Goodyear) and $358 Michellin. 275/45/20.

Price is excellent but check manufacturing date. Tires age and, in general, manufacturers don't recommend installation of tires older than five years or using tires older than ten years.
Walmart once installed on my i3 new tires manufactured seven years ago. Was a pain to get the problem sorted.

Inflated MSRP. Yikes. Man. Like nobody ever is paying $330 per tire. Yikes. No way man.
You obviously don't shop for high quality V rated 20" tires often. Yes, 250-300 is the normal price for such a tire from a top tier company. Go check a site like Tirerack or Discount Tire and look for this size tire.... 160 is an EXCELLENT price. This is the exact size tire I have on my car and I wish I needed tires as I would be buying them.

Dang that sucks. maybe look at getting smaller rims. might be cheaper to buy new rims. I went 16" for my cars. This way I can buy $70 tires when on sale. But always under $90/tire. I don't understand why people want 19" or 20" wheels on their vehicle.
Some people like the look of a larger tire on their car. It isn't all about price. If the car was designed with 20" wheels (as my car was) then going to something smaller will have consequences if not done properly.

Of course I need the 245/40/20 variant that is not the sale price. Great tire for those that were curious on both wet and dry roads. Not recommended for snow or icy roads.
Odds are these will fit your vehicle just fine, you'll just have a little bit beefier side wall.
It's a 24.5mm increase (~.96") in sidewall height over the 245/40's

Walmart has been really putting up some deals on tires in the last few weeks
I ended up getting General Grabber HTS60 for $137 each, Total with Walmart plus was $681
That's a Great price for tires on a Tacoma with all the extras, road hazard, mounting balancing, and free rotations for life, and good at any Walmart with a tire center nationwide.

My coworker told me his electric suv is chewing through tires every 18000 miles. It uses expensive ones like these too.

last month the pirelli on sale from walmart had a 2023 manufacture date fyi. so depending on how long you store them they are gonna turn into hard rubber soon.

It's not crap. If you're not storing them in vacuum sealed tire bags then they're not going to last 6-10yrs...more like ~5yrs.

Are you under the impression that rubber doesn't degrade if you don't use it?

Not to threadcrap, I genuinely do not know much about tires

These are $300 MSRP and many of you are saying that's regular normal price for most tires?

But I have my Michelin CrossClimate 2s on my SUV and they've been great. I drive frequently in blizzards/snow/ice/rain up in the northeast US and Canada on mountains and highways and they've been great. Especially with the 3PMSF rating. And the CC2s are around $180-$190.

What makes these MSRP for $300+? I just looked up reviews and it says CC2s are better for daily driver in snow and rain compared to this. While these ones are better for performance, dry road steering, and "sporty" feel. I have no idea what that actually means for the average driver?

think about it though. if he stores them for another 1-2 years, install them, use them for another 4 years, nearing end of life the tires will be 9+ years old!

i would start to worry about the safety of my wife and kids in that car by year 8.. thats not worth saving $150 per tire to me, i'm not that poor.
