So this is just a cube-shaped pitcher, really? Does it do anything different than the Takeya-type cold brew pitcher that I've been using, that was about half the price and has twice the capacity? It seems expensive for what it is, so I think maybe I'm missing something.

Yes I'm also confused as to what the actual use case for this is, and why what appears to be a square pitcher is so expensive.

Isn't cold brew just mixing water and coffee and putting it in the fridge, and straining it later? what does this appliance do beyond that?
