Apparently the things that make it better than the 5 like Google Maps and YouTube music don't work very well according to reviews. So keep that in mind if you're upgrading.

This is still the best sleep tracker if you want a display and week-long battery life. The app gets increasingly enshittified though and it's possible the Charge 7 might never come out, it's already a year late.

My Charge 5 broke so I replaced it with the Charge 6. The battery life is a little better and onscreen GPS is nice when walking in a city. But the auto exercise detection is annoying as hell. I was there was an easy way to turn it off. Also, it's annoying when certain exercises keep buzzing the Fitbit based on heart rate. The Charge 5 didn't have those 2 annoyances.

Battery life the only thing this has going for it ... inaccurate sleep tracking. Seems Google killed everything great fitbit once was.

The Google Health app is trash making Fitbit historical data far less useful than they were. The new app loves to log me as sleeping while doing various activities (mowing the lawn or walking the local trails). Yesterday, I spent 16 hours in bed according to the app (and still managed to log 13k steps). If only I could sleep 1/3 of that time.

The new google health app is indeed trash. The food log is awful. The interface is so crowded and messy. The Fitbit app was way better designed

Since the update I've had score not exceeding FAIR. I know REM and dream sleep aren't 1:1, but I've been dreaming a LOT and my Google Health only shows minimal REM sleep. [shrugs]
