I'm not discussing this particular deal, but the product in general.
These are the "old-school" tackleboxes. I would avoid them. Allow me to explain.
The soft-side (and they do make hard versions as well) modular system is so much more useful. They use (mostly) either 3600 or 3700 size tackle containers. The dividers can be moved, and you can have a small tackle box (in general terms) that are specific to certain species (bluegill/crappie, bass, catfish, etc), instead of carrying everything you own in one giant box. You can also get very large bags/boxes if you want to carry your entire collection of fishing lures every time you go.
The big plus to the modular system is you can keep those things that you always want (pliers, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray, etc) in the bag/box and swap out the tackle trays based upon your plan for that specific trip.
I have this and do not like it. The hinge is also garbage and will deform quickly, especially in the heat.
I second this. The tabs and stands that support the trays when opened are far too small and don't line up half the time. I use this for excess that never leaves home and still use my 20yo plastic Plano for actually fishing.
