This Shake Shack promo pairs a Smoky BBQ sandwich purchase with a free single ShackBurger, and the code does work in some areas. The strongest appeal is the effective price drop on a regular burger, especially when the free item is kept to the single version. The main drawbacks are the small burger portions, occasional saltiness, and confusing checkout rules that can trigger vague errors like required items not in bag. Local menu prices also make the deal feel less compelling in some markets.
The promo code worked successfully when the required items were added correctly.
The Tabasco sauce can be picked up to go and used to improve other foods on the go.
The deal can be workable in some areas when the checkout requirements are met.
The burger portion size can be very small, making the deal less satisfying for burger cravings.
The promotion can be confusing because the free Shackburger may be limited to a single and the exact item name matters.
The promo can fail at checkout with an error stating that required items were not in the bag.
The promo value can drop in higher-priced areas where the Smoky BBQ sandwich and Smoky burger cost more.

This is actually a good deal, better than a bogo with same price points. I almost feel bad that I am paying $0.20 less for the ism I have to buy. May give that as a tip.
Edit: They always set the default on the double variation. Buying a $9.29 for a $7.29 burger. No go for me.
The best thing about Shake Shack is the tabasco sauce that I can pick up to go. I get a bunch and carry them around so I can easily put it on other food that I buy when I want on the go.
