Walmart+ flat tire repair is a free, practical fix for normal passenger tires when the damage is safely repairable, and it can save the $18 to $30 many shops charge. The benefit has worked on tires bought elsewhere, with some locations turning repairs around quickly and others taking much longer. Access depends heavily on the store, since many Walmarts do not have Auto Centers and some locations refuse low profile tires, aftermarket rims, run flats, or tires that are too worn or unsafe. Calling ahead and checking the local shop's rules matters.

  • Drivers with a puncture in the tread area, because Walmart Auto Center can patch repairable flats free even when the tire was bought elsewhere.

  • Walmart+ members needing a nearby emergency fix, because the benefit is available at many Walmart Auto Centers and can be the only open option on Sundays.

  • Owners of ordinary passenger cars with a repairable flat, because the service is offered on normal passenger-vehicle tires and can be completed in under an hour at some locations.

  • Shoppers comparing against paid tire shops, because the free repair can replace a $10 to $30 puncture fix elsewhere.

  • Cars with unsafe damage or tread too close to the sidewall, because Walmart will refuse repairs when the tire cannot be guaranteed safe.

  • Drivers who need predictable turnaround, because some locations have long waits, missed appointments, and slow or inconsistent service.

  • Drivers with low-profile tires or aftermarket wheel setups, because some Walmart locations refuse those installs and may not service the tire at all.

  • Tesla and other EV owners needing quick tire service, because a shop may lack the knowledge to repair the vehicle and send it away after a long wait.

Discount tire sucks! I tried getting my tire repaired 5x at different locations and they all said no after trying to up sell me on new tires even for the wrong season. Lol they just to be good for tire repairs
You must understand that's their business model. The "free services" they provide costs them money and that's paid for by the corp in hopes they could sell you something at some point.

I've tried this several times. 1st time, they said the wait was nearly a week... Made an appointment and showed up for a fix of a slow leak. They could not find the screw even after I pointed at it. Nearly destroyed the TPS valve and scratched the hell out of my wheels. Good Luck!

How do I use my free flat tire repair benefit? (Tire does NOT have to have been purchased at Walmart)

Simply bring your flat or damaged tire into a Walmart Auto Care Center, check in with one of our certified technicians to verify your membership, then let us take care of repairing your tire.
The tire does not have to be on a vehicle when you bring it in for repair.

If I have multiple vehicles, do they all qualify for flat tire repair?

There is no limit to how many different tires an active trial or paid member can bring in for free flat tire repair, however there are limits to the number of times one specific tire can be repaired. Tire restrictions apply.

What kind of tires are eligible for this benefit?

This benefit applies only to tires used on passenger cars, light trucks, minivans, small RVs & crossovers.

Find a location nearby (enter zip code) https://www.walmart.com/store-fin...CareCenter

What other exclusions apply to this benefit?

The Auto Care Center (ACC) will not repair a tire when there is no usable tread left (2/32") or when the location & size of the damage on the tire does not meet industry standards for tire repair services.

I wonder what locations because ive used them for 25 years and only seen that experience when a tire was beyond repair or they werent confident they could stand behind it. Discount Tire/America Tire knows tires but that being said- repairs arnt free, they are included in the price.

Well you are correct. I went to them one time to fix a nail hole on a road trip. It took 4 hours and when we got there, the tire was flat again.

I think it all depends on your location. You can say the same thing about Costco when it comes to tire rotation.
I used Walmart for a patching twice. It was less than 45 minutes.

Walmart sucks. Bought my Michelin CrossClimate2 thru them because they were significantly cheaper. Includes free rotation + repair. So, I tried to book online and couldnt. Tried calling multiple times to schedule and could never get thru... Finally said screw it and bought a floor jack and I just do it myself when I change the oil.

They all closed up in my area. What IS in town? A Walmart. So if I have a bad tire, I likely want to go the shortest distance...

Anyone buying a tire should check that road hazard is included in the price. Most tires places include it but it's best to verify for your our situation.
Paying for a road hazard? I'd rather not pay to get my tire(s) damaged.

what counts as tire repair? My two rear tires lose air and my front passenger rim seems like it's missing weights.

Good info!

Yes, there is a Wal-Mart pretty much every where and tire prices are competitive.

Also have used Sam club for repairs if convenient!

My van came with 15" steel wheels, the previous owner curb rashed the shit out of them so I put on 16" stock alloys from the same year and manufacturer SUV, same offset etc so they look stock. The tires I use are the same size as stock within a mm or two in width and diameter. I wanted to get new tires from Walmart tire center so I took it in, they told me to go kick rocks lol
