To my surprise, it was in perfect condition with the plastic film attached, original box and packing, and zero dead pixels. I have it on a corner desk in my home office and the deep curve allows me to shove it tight into the corner.
I don't use it for gaming or need super high brightness, but for everything else it is beautiful, especially for the price.
it's a large panel and it's cheap, and has acceptable specs. your expectations are way out of line for the money.

This 32 inch Samsung Odyssey G5 stands out as a cheap way to get a large 1440p, 165Hz curved gaming monitor. The deep 1000R curve is praised for fitting tightly into a corner desk setup, and the panel is described as looking beautiful for the price when it arrives in good condition. The main knocks are the modest 250 nit brightness, VA panel, and very aggressive curve, which may feel too extreme for a first curved screen. Warranty support and Samsung reliability also draw caution, so it is best suited to shoppers comfortable with the tradeoffs.
The 32-inch 1440p size can be a strong value at around $130 compared with what lower-resolution monitors cost previously.
The deep 1000R curve can help a 32-inch monitor fit tightly into a corner desk setup.
The monitor can arrive in perfect condition with original packing, plastic film attached, and zero dead pixels.
DisplayPort 1.2 can support 1440p at 165Hz for this monitor.
Samsung monitors can develop artifacting or horizontal lines, including failures that occur after warranty coverage ends.
The monitor's brightness and panel type can feel underwhelming, with 250 nits and a VA panel called out as limiting.
The 1000R curvature can be very extreme, which may not suit buyers who want a less curved experience.
Samsung warranty service can involve slow back-and-forth and delays before a shipping label is issued.

That being said, this is tempting at this price but I should really see a 32" 1000R screen in-person before I buy this as my first curved monitor.
