The compression driver tweeter with horn waveguides offers incredible dynamics and headroom which makes all the difference especially during movies and TV, providing a vividness and immediacy to the sound that dome tweeters and ribbons simply cannot match. Don't confuse these with the "horn" sound of entry-level Klipsch (which use metal dome tweeters not compression driver tweeters)...they are not "shouty," "harsh," or "bright" at all.
This center has 90db sensitivity and 58Hz bass extension, which means easy load for any receiver/amp to drive, and easy to integrate with the standard 80Hz high pass filter crossover point used with subwoofers.
NOTE: there is no such thing as a "horn tweeter"---only "horn WAVEGUIDES." These JBL Studio and HDI series have *compression driver* tweeters. The entry level Klipsch that people sometimes complain of being "bright" or "shrill" have *metal dome* tweeters. Two very different animals.

Nothing on the market comes close to it in price-to-performance.
It's also a 3-way not this 2.5-way.
