If the price wasn't adjusted at pick-up, I guess I will just return it on the spot?

Yes, it's gonna be YMMV based on the management you get though. The clearance price in stores right now is $500 so you can order it for store pickup and request they refund the order and resell it to you at that price. Not every store is gonna do it though, but then you can always just return it and walk away.

Edit to add: you can also try to go to the store, ask an employee to look up this item. They may be able to order it for you at the store price from their computer.

OP, could you post a pic of the receipt? or a bigger ver. of the thumbnail?

The last time I tried getting the 5070 ti for $699, they didn't wanna do it till I showed them someone's receipt from reddit.

What store was this? I checked a few stores in Southern California and it's still showing 699.99 Instore.
