TP Link Deco X60 is a reliable whole home mesh system that has held up for years without frequent restarts. It works especially well for stable coverage, and wired backhaul can make it even stronger. The app can also schedule automatic restarts if needed. The main limits are that it is dual band, not tri band, so mesh traffic shares bandwidth and can slow down when the network is busy, and the Ethernet ports top out at 1 Gbps.
Households wiring mesh nodes with Ethernet backhaul, because the system avoids wireless mesh bandwidth sharing when the nodes are wired together.
Homes needing a stable whole-home network for years, because it has run reliably without frequent restarts.
Families with moderate internet plans, because each port tops out at 1 Gbps.
Internet plans above 1 Gbps, because the Ethernet ports cap the system at 1 Gbps.
Heavy-device homes expecting fast wireless mesh performance, because the dual-band design can lose speed when the network is busy.
Users wanting a mesh system that stays fast under load without wired backhaul, because shared-band routing can slow traffic when many devices are active.
