TP Link Deco X60 is a reliable whole home mesh system that has held up for years without frequent restarts. It works especially well for stable coverage, and wired backhaul can make it even stronger. The app can also schedule automatic restarts if needed. The main limits are that it is dual band, not tri band, so mesh traffic shares bandwidth and can slow down when the network is busy, and the Ethernet ports top out at 1 Gbps.
The Deco X60 can run for years without needing restarts, which helps keep home Wi-Fi stable.
The Deco X60 supports scheduled restarts through the app, including overnight timing options.
The system can work well for long-term use when nodes use wired backhaul instead of wireless mesh.
The Deco X60 can be a practical value when purchased as a 3-pack at around $100 in-warehouse.
The Deco X60 limits wired throughput because each Ethernet port caps at 1 Gbps.
The Deco X60 is dual-band rather than tri-band, which can cause shared-band bandwidth and speed loss during busy network use.
The Deco X60 v2 can show CPU usage pegged at 100%, which may indicate performance strain under some conditions.
The Deco X60 may not be an upgrade over Deco AX5000 sets, depending on the AX5000 configuration and your current setup.
