with $6 shipping plus taxes, the deal comes out to over $40 for my shipping location for the Echo 4th Gen. Not sure if that's a great deal given that Amazon Prime day is right aroudn the corner and these devices are being phased out for the smarter ones.. Any thoughts?

i got one of those smart device echo's 4th gen to replace my 2nd gen dot. great price @ 32 shipped (approx) thanks OP! THen came back with my woot account and paid 6 for shipping @greydesk7874, to me its worth it, these 4th gen smart device echos are HUGE and sound GREAT!

That's not a bad price for the Echo. Not great, but not bad. Amazon recently released new devices last fall. The Dot was refreshed but not the full sized Echo. I don't know if a new one is on the horizon for a while or not. I'm confused about the $6 shipping. Everything I have ever ordered from Woot has been free shipping since I have Prime. You mentioned Prime Day. That indicates you are a Prime member. Why $6 shipping?

If you want that model echo then grab it because they aren't even showing up on Amazon now so don't think they will be on prime day.

On the fence about the air quality meter, if it has a CO2 sensor I'd get it. Opinions on it?

Got a refurb $33 a couple months ago here on Woot. This would be $2 cheaper. It's ok. I think I am getting a second one for another floor of the house. Have to add Amazon Alexa app on your phone which is annoying because I don't want an Amazon controlled "smart" home, ever. I primarily use it for VOCs as I live in a neighborhood with a lot of idling trucks/cars -- surprisingly low inside the house but I also have air purifiers and MERV13 filters because I have bad lungs. I recommend an Aranet instead for CO2, which I also have (bad lungs).

so hold on. the sound bar has BT, but isn't a smart device? does that mean I could (or not?) wirelessly stream from my fire TV stick connected to a projector in the back of the room to this soundbar under the projector screen? (it's a dining room set up, just want better sound than my projector's awful speaker.

I wonder if they don't realize that signing in with their Amazon account versus a separate Woot account activates free shipping?
