They removed dedicated motion sensor, replaced it with a subscription and STILL raised the price of the cameras.

Avoid at all cost.

No, Blink has not removed motion sensing without a subscription on the Blink Outdoor 4.Even without a monthly plan, your camera will still physically detect motion and send a push notification to your phone to let you know something is moving. It won't save clip though

Are you sure? According to everything I'm reading (including official documentation) they only require subscription for the new Blink 4 person detection feature, but motion seems to work the same as it always has (saving motion clips locally to SD/USB without a subscription).

I read on reddit some people had issues with clip saving on early firmware but after an update it was resolved.

Bought last time and it comes with a dongle to connect too that has a usb port, however I'm unsure if you can connect it to usb for local storage (I incorrectly assumed if it has a usb port you can after reading reviews). I'm grandfathered into their free (limited) cloud. It also comes with 30day subscription to their $20 plan which will show you how useless the AI descriptions can be. Only thing I like is the stitching of videos

Removed motion notification integration with 3rd party like Alexa.
