Not just expensive gas, a lot less visitors from other countries that rent those rigs thanks to politics

Weren't these free at some point. They needed them relocated and they would rent them for free, just buy the gas and pick up from point A and bring it back to designated place B within X number of days. Is that still a thing? Look it up before you rent one.

I rented a one-way RV for 3 weeks in September last year to go from SFO to Chicago with 90% discount plus 2000 free miles. We went through several national parks and ended up with 4000 miles. The total cost for gas and additional mileage was around $4k. I am sure the gas cost would be much higher today.

If you have flexible schedule and itinerary, one-way RV is a good option to save money.

A ton of people use RV share just to get a travel trailer that's delivered and already set up (for a fee). That's the best use of the service, IMO, and waayyyyy cheaper on fuel and insurance costs.

Yes, I did. The 90% discount and free miles worth at least $5000. They have different routes for these one-way RV rental. The one I rented was moved to Chicago for sale. It had about 40k miles at the time.

You can google "RV relocation" or just one way RV rental. They also have rental car relocation that you can drive one way across the country for free. I got mine from El Monte RV. Here are a few websites.
