Agreed. The price likely won't be that low again with what is going on in the world. However, we don't know for sure as crazier things have happened.

This is a micro sd express card. It's faster than a standard micro sd card.

This one is compatible with a Switch 2.

I thought the same thing until I started trying to use them in a few 4k+ devices and saw all the jittering during fast moving action.... I went ahead and plunked down $300 for a couple of high speed cards, but the tests I've run on them have me thinking that they're not legit.... SMH

It's only faster for devices designed for MicroSD Express, like the Switch 2. For everything else, it will run at UHS-I speeds, so you won't see any benefit spending the premium for one of these in something like the original Switch, or phones with expandable storage.

It will work with any phone with a MicroSD slot, but only at UHS-I speeds, so a UHS-II card will be considerably faster (not to mention cheaper, and available in larger sizes).

As far as I know, there aren't any phones currently available or on the horizon that have dedicated PCIe lanes for external storage, which is what makes MicroSD Express ao much faster, so, while the cards are backwards compatible, the backwards compatibility mode is significantly slower than the fastest regular MicroSD cards.

The cards are probably fine.

MicroSD Express is a new storage standard, and, unless your camera has the hardware to support it (and there aren't any on the market that do), the card can only run in backwards-compatibility mode, which is UHS-I speed, or ~1/3 as fast as UHS-II MicroSD cards.

There is pretty much only one reason to buy a MicroSD Express card right now is for a Nintendo Switch, because almost nothing else uses them.
