This VEVOR 4 channel Class D amp looks like a strong budget car audio upgrade, with plenty of power for the price and a compact footprint. It is described as good value, capable of roughly 70 watts per channel into 4 ohms, and suitable for adding speakers or improving an older car system. The main knocks are that it is not the cleanest at full volume and long term durability may be limited by cheaper internal parts. It also brings wiring and installation costs, so it works best for a simple car setup with some DIY comfort.
Common Questions (5)
It can be a good starting point for an older or used car, especially if you want more power on a budget. The tradeoff is possible long-term durability concerns from cheaper internal components, and the install can add hidden costs if you need an amp kit, adapters, or shop labor.
It is a strong value at this price and is often seen around $100. The amp is praised for packing a lot of power into a small, low-cost package, though it is not the cleanest at full volume.
A more realistic output estimate is about 70 watts per channel into 4-ohm speakers at 12-15 VDC, rather than the headline numbers. Power drops with 8-ohm loads, so it is best suited to typical car-audio speakers.
It can run 8-ohm home speakers, but output will likely drop by about half. It is mainly suited for car use because it is designed around 12-15 VDC vehicle power and car wiring.
You need a dedicated power run from the battery or alternator, a 12-gauge wire with a 20-25A inline fuse, a chassis ground, and RCA signal from the radio. If the stock stereo lacks RCA outputs, you may also need a converter or a new head unit.

You'd have to buy an amp kit to power the amplifier, install the amp kit, and find a way to connect the amp to the stereo. If it's a stock stereo, it might not have RCA outputs and will require either a converter or new head unit.
Car Audio shops charge a ton to install these days. So if your friend or family member doesn't know how to do any of that or have a friend that does, it's probably a pass.
I think most people these days for a cheap old car would go with one of those bluetooth adapters you can play phone off the radio. I have one of those, it connects well, but the sound quality is below average/bad. https://www.amazon.com/LENCENT-Transmitter-Bluetooth-Wireless-Charging/dp/B07VFT4D6B/ref=sr_1_1_sspa... [amazon.com]
Otherwise, a new car stereo/head unit, plus a cheap set of speakers for $25 actually does make a noticeable difference, and will allow you to connect a phone to a car more cleanly. Parts will probably cost around $100.
