This Ricoh 15.6 inch OLED touchscreen monitor stands out for its sharp picture, light weight, and easy single USB C hookup with a laptop. The panel is described as terrific and the display quality is praised as a big upgrade over clunkier portable LCDs. It is display only, with no HDMI input, no 3.5 millimeter audio out, and the 150BW is the battery version. Touch on MacOS and single cable power from some phones remain uncertain, so it fits best when USB C compatibility is straightforward.
Shoppers prioritizing image quality in a portable OLED, because the panel is described as great and the picture as amazing for the price.
The panel is described as very good, lightweight, and convenient to use, with strong picture quality and a single-cable setup. The caveat is that the $119.98 listing was likely a price mistake and the monitor has also been seen much cheaper elsewhere, around $72 to $85.
No. The Ricoh 150 is USB-C only and does not include an HDMI input, so HDMI sources need an adapter or a different display. That also means devices like a Nintendo Switch may not connect directly.
Touch on macOS is not clearly confirmed. The monitor may work with macOS using open-source software, but touch support is still uncertain and may depend on the setup.
Yes with some laptops, but not always with phones. It has been powered and used with a laptop over one USB-C cable, while a Samsung S25 Edge reportedly could not power it up on a single cable.
I've been watching this on Amazon and I can only say that the pricing is highly variable. The current shipped and sold by Amazon price is the most outrageous I've ever seen at $447.45 but I've also seen it hit the $120 directly from Amazon. There's also clearly a third party seller doing some shenanigans with multiple listings. I honestly like to tell myself that I'm holding out until a comparably reputable 4k variant becomes available.
Good luck!
Jon
There's 2 models: the 150 is just the display & the 150BW (the one that goes for $200+) has a battery.

Found it on CompSource for even lower. $60.11 + $12.95 shipping so $73.06. So strange how it is so cheap. Actually found it even cheaper than that on Insight
as a usb-c monitor without HDMI, I assume it'll not work with a Nintendo switch without an adapter but will work with something like a steam deck?
how are the speakers?
I like the design of this monitor since it doesn't have cables sticking out the sides like most portable monitors but not having HDMI and 3.5mm audio out might kill it for me
Price on Provantage is dipping to $72 for some reason. Was able to snag one of them & it seemed to change on the hour.
Considering normal portables go on sale for ~$45 an OLED at $72 is kinda nuts (& it has a touchscreen).

it was a price mistake. they removed the item. 150bw is still there for $250
I got this email from them, maybe they just ran out of stock.
"I was emailing you to let you know that your order is currently on back order.
By the time your order was placed our distributor ran out of stock.
Your order if released will be on back order with an ETA 2 weeks"
Yup, received the same email. I just told them to cancel it. This was a gamble for me because I rarely order outside of the big stores like Amazon, Walmart, etc. Probably won't do it again. Wasn't a fan of the check out process.
Ordered from Provantage when it was $85 and it came in today. Amazing for the price - great picture, light weight and super convenient to plug in to my laptop with a single USB cable. My old portable LCD screen seems really clunky in comparison.
Provantage definitely is. I've heard of it before. CompSource seems legit as well from searching. The third site I mentioned, Insight is a publicly traded Fortune 500 company with billions in revenue so definitely legit as well, though they have some bad customer reviews.Actually Insight canceled my order, said they only ship to business addresses.
Business address - like a PO Box?
