Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank gdm626

I have the Emberton 3 and it hits above its size. Actual stereo soundstage. Hear the 2 isn't radically different

Edit: the key difference being it can't be paired with another speaker. Was a big deal for me so I'm returning the 3.

2 is actually better than 3. One, it has better constructure and they haven't cheapen out on things like Logos (the 2 has actually cut out letters vs black background on 3). Two, you can stack multiple ones and they work seamlessly. Still not possible on 3 which is ridiculous.

Price has not been over $138 in over a year. Clearly posted on Amazon that the most since February was $120! NOT 48% OFF!

Is this really good at only 20w? Compare to others like the jbl flip?

Thank you for this bit of information - had no clue it wasn't pairable with another speaker and my plan was to buy a second one. Thankfully I'm still within my return window.

"The Emberton II will automatically turn off after 5-10 minutes of inactivity (no sound). I am afraid there is no way to disable this."

I have another Klipsch portable speaker that behave like this. Any thing else out there that's similar to this in size and sound quality, but does not have this auto shut off behavior?

Intrigued by this portable speaker, I did some research on the Marshal Emberton II versus the III. Keep in mind this does not have a microphone for speakerphone like, for example, the Bose SoundLink Mini II or Sony SRS-XB40. The III also features "slightly warmer audio" and longer battery life.

Marshall II battery 19.24 Wh
JBL Flip 6/7 battery 17.28 Wh

Marshall cannot get nearly as loud as JBL Flip, but much bettery battery life (lasts about twice as long because of larger battery + less power).

Marshall has 360 spatial sound dispersion.

I'll second all of this (except for the use of the word, "constructure" to describe the build quality of a Bluetooth speaker Lol)
