The con would be they are a Chinese company...like part of the terms and conditions is that you swear to never say anything negative about China ever lol. But the comparisons to me are qnap, who has gone downhill big time over years, and synology who pulled (and then backtracked) on the lock in on hard drives. So in my humble opinion I think ugreen is the best option these days.
I see this as a great prebuilt NAS as part of homelab that separates out compute+storage and wants these specs. If you just want an all in one solution and don't need 2x10gb/ecc/u.2 support the pro or plus model are probably better options

Synology is going to be the gold standard for a NAS OS. Fantastic software, probably older hardware. UGREEN's OS isn't as mature, but their hardware tends to be fantastic for the price.
