Such an amazing book, I wish people in Washington and State Houses across the country would read it - focus first on what you agree on and get that done
I just read this book. I really wanted to like it, but the examples were terrible. The author kept trying to make it seem like this particular idea was used in a large, international context and proceeds to oversimplify/gloss over the details so much that it's difficult to read through. And a lot of advice that generally won't work in large corporations.
I did enjoy "Radical Candor" , and found a lot of the advice there to be helpful.
Getting to Yes wasn't my cup of tea. Maybe it will work well for others.
