Good deal for a brand name receiver. Just missing a real volume knob and wireless Android Auto and Carplay but these can be added with dongles.

Don't see how this even works anymore in modern cars. My car has a screen and it's not like the 80-90s where you would just pull out a radio with some bent coat hanger loops when every car has different units.

There are a handful of vehicles that still use DIN units but that number is going down every year.

I was more of a Kenwood guy back in the day, but Pioneer was on the short list. Wonder if this would fit in the daughter's car....

Not having wireless Android Auto is a deal breaker. Trying to charge my phone with a crappy USB connection to the deck is terrible.

Wait this doesn't have wireless carplay? So my pioneer W4400 from like 10 years ago has more features than this?

As someone who has bought pioneer for a while I have to say the quality is in the gutter. I had to repair my W4400 many times and even the website for repair is horrible. I would go to another brand at this point.

It doesn't. This is for people like me that still drive beaters.

... which is why it's on sale. Find a better receiver at a lower price and post it if it's out there.

This wireless dongle works really well in two of my vehicles, if you're looking for one. amazon.com/dp/B0DGV4T6BK

Honestly, I believe most are junk now. I had a Kenwood a few years back and it was trash (always locking up). The issue I have with Pioneer units is that I believe you need an interface for steering wheel controls (most other brands you can plug in the wires and just program each button). Crap, I have a couple of cheap ass Power Acoustik CPAA-70M head units and they have this feature LOL. I believe Sonys have this feature too.
