Why does the product look different in every picture? Are the solar panels circles or are they rounded squares? Is the hat tan or grey? Do the fans tilt or are they locked in place? In the third picture (with the sweaty guy holding architectural drawings), what are those blurry things coming out of the fans? Are those exposed blades??
Is this just AI slop?

Got close to picking one up despite the geeky appearance. But decided to go to Amazon to get a general impression of how these hats work in the real world. There are several brands, ranging around $20-30. Two major complaints: (1) the fans are too heavy, causing the brims to collapse vertically and (2) despite the USB charge, they often don't work when the sun isn't shining.

Based on the girl model pictured on That Daily Deal, this might be the hat at Amazon. Note it only has 5 reviews, so I had to look at similar hats to get reviews of these hats.

It ripped out my hair. Don't buy one of these things if you have long hair.

This solar fan hat is meant for hands free cooling and sun protection, with a ventilated wide brim and a battery option when the sun is not strong enough. The main appeal is the novelty of built in fans for hot weather, and it can even be worn backwards to push air toward the neck. The biggest problems are weak solar performance, loud fans, and a heavy design that can collapse the brim or pull hair. Fit and finish also draw complaints, including Mini USB charging, color mismatches, and a brim that arrives folded or flimsy.

At least 4 of the photos look like AI slop, hard to trust that, but of course, Amazon and other online retailers are flooded with AI product images these days.

Cool idea. But I'll probably wait till they come out with perfected versions due to comments. I have neck fan and portable hanging fan which I think may be more useful because you can angle it to other parts of the body.
Also, having the fans blow in my face all the time.. I think will make more trouble for my dry eyes.

Thanks, perfect gift for my little brother's upcoming birthday. They like to go to the Airshow and camp for a month, should be perfect for those summer days.

Any experience with shipping speed from ThatDailyDeal?
I have bought from them before. Shipping is snail slow, takes around 2 to 3 weeks to receive the items

The fans are probably not strong enough to cut through Texas grass.
