Albanese gummi bears stand out for bold flavor and a softer, chewier texture, with the 12 flavor mix and smaller cubs packs getting special praise. The candy is often described as better tasting than Haribo, and the fresh store version is treated as the gold standard. The main knock is that the texture can feel too soft or squishy for Haribo fans, and bulk Amazon bags are said to taste different from grocery store Albanese. A strong pick if you want intense fruit flavor and a tender chew.

  • Albanese gummies can deliver more unique and intense flavors than some store-brand gummy bears.

  • Albanese gummies may be softer than certain alternatives, which some people prefer for texture.

  • Albanese offers a 12-flavor variety in individual servings, including the smaller "gummi bear cubs" packs.

  • Some shoppers who live near the factory report that these gummy bears taste like the best they have had.

  • Albanese gummies can feel too soft or squishy, and some buyers prefer Haribo's chew instead.

  • Bulk bags from Amazon can taste different from grocery-store Albanese, which may indicate second batches in the shipment.

  • Some ingredient-focused feedback argues these gummies are not premium because the ingredient list includes corn syrup, beet sugar, gelatin, and color additives.

  • Some comparisons claim Haribo is only OK while Twin Snakes gummy candy can taste like plastic, which may affect expectations for flavor comparisons.

I prefer Haribo because that was my first exposure to gummy bears growing up. Got a bag of each recently for nostalgia's sake and to see what the hype is with Albanese. Still like Haribo better because of the familiar flavor and the more satisfying chew - Albanese is too soft imo.

How does this compare to Walmart's private label version of gummy bears?
Not that the Walmart ones are bad, but Albanese are just next level. The flavors are more unique and intense. The texture is also softer which many people prefer. If you have a Meijer store in your area, their store brand is Albanese. You can tell by the "A" on the bear's belly.

Add me to team Albanese! I especially love their smaller packs of what they call "gummi bear cubs"- the 12 flavor variety in individual servings Eat

I 100% agree with you, Haribo is much better than Albanese. Albanese are way too soft/squishy. I was getting Albanese sometimes when they went on sale and I always regretted it and went back to Haribo. Unfortunately, I can't eat either anymore since I weigh 800 pounds now.

I love how the suggested interval for these is every 2 months (most common). Who the hell is eating 5 pounds of these every two months?

These gummies are so much better than Haribo.
Despite claiming to be the best and the slightly European name, these are far from premium. The ingredients are no better than what you'd find in Dollar Store gummies. But there's apparently some magic that goes into them since it has a 4.8 rating from 40,000+ reviews.

Corn Syrup (From Corn), Sugar (From Beets), Water, Gelatin, Citric Acid, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Pectin (Derived from Fruit), Vegetable Oil (Coconut, Canola) and Carnauba Leaf Wax (To Prevent Sticking), FD&C Yellow #5, FD&C Red #40, FD&C Yellow #6, FD&C Blue #1* Yellow #5 - E102, Red #40 - E129, Yellow #6 - E110, & Blue #1 - E133**Coconut Oil is highly refined and is not considered an allergen.
