AirPods Pro 3 are being treated as a strong noise cancelling earbud deal, especially for office use and sensory relief, with the upcoming equalizer feature adding appeal. AppleCare plus comes up as a major value point, since it can cut accidental damage costs sharply and makes the higher Costco price easier to justify. The usual Black Friday price appears to be $179, with $169 as the lowest seen. The main cautions are fit and seal issues, occasional noise cancelling dropouts, and reports of hissing or service headaches, so the appeal is strongest if comfort and long term reliability are not deal breakers.
AppleCare+ can materially lower replacement costs after accidental damage, such as a run-over earbud replacement for $29 instead of $89 without coverage.
The deal can be strengthened by an AmEx $40 offer, and the combined savings are described as covering AppleCare+ similarly to a Costco bundle.
Buying through Costco can reduce risk because the higher price is described as including AppleCare+ and avoiding knockoff concerns.
The AirPods Pro 3 can be appealing for users who need help tolerating noisy office environments with music playing.
AirPods Pro 3 units reportedly developed a hissing or high-pitched noise after about a year, and Apple reportedly refused to address it.
Service and diagnosis can be difficult, since Best Buy reportedly could not determine the problem and Apple reportedly provided clarity only after the devices were sent in.
Fit and seal issues can occur, including needing to adjust the earbuds about hourly because the seal reportedly loosens quickly.
Noise-cancelling performance can reportedly drop out, requiring a reset by placing the earbuds back in the case.

On the other hand, I have to adjust the fit probably every hour because the fit loses it's seal rather quickly. And sometimes the noise-cancelling will just stop and I have to put them back in the case for a soft reset.
Does anyone know how they compare to Samsung's Buds Pro 4? A lot of YouTubers claim the Samsungs are better in every way.
