This Jackery bundle stands out as a compact backup power setup for essentials, especially fridge, TV, and light field use, with the included 200W panel seen as a stronger value than the usual 100W version. The package has been used successfully for months in the field, and the panel alone is priced high enough that the bundle can make sense. Runtime expectations stay modest, though, with a basic fridge around 16 hours and a TV about 7 hours, while higher draw gear drains it quickly. There is also a reported F0 error after overseas shipping and some solar charging instability. A practical pick for short outages and low power loads.

Common Questions (4)

  • It is below the common $700 price seen over the last 6 months, but not by a huge margin. The included 200W panel and field-use reliability make it appealing, though comparable alternatives like an Anker Solix C1000X bundle at $599.99 and Costco Jackery bundles were also mentioned.

  • Yes. The bundle's 200W panel is much better than the 100W panel Jackery usually includes, and it also makes the package more attractive because the panel alone is valued around $339.

  • A basic fridge can run about 16 hours if it is not opened much, and a TV can run about 7 hours. Higher-draw setups like a gaming desktop can drop to under 2 hours, so this size is best for essentials and low-power loads.

  • It is rated for 400W max across both DC8020 inputs, but real-world charging has reportedly topped out around 290W. Some units can also get unstable when solar input fluctuates, and unplugging and reconnecting the panel usually clears it.

I realize we can't turn back time, but I got this same Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 for $350 on Black Friday 2024 and got two(!) Ugreen 200W folding panels for $134. Now that was a Slickdeal.

In the real world, what is the maximum solar charging wattage that you've been able to get with this Jackery unit? It's rated for a total of 400W max, shared between both DC8020 inputs, but I think 290W is the most I've seen.
Also, every now and then, mine will flip out when solar charging and the input wattage jumps up and down, back and forth. Unplugging and reconnecting the solar panel will usually stop it, but that seems weird.

Think that's likely to come back? I don't mind waiting. Amazon?

I own the generator but need the panel. The panel on it's own cost $339. I paid $400 for the generator. If I could get the panel for $200 I'd go buy one but I can't quite get the extra cost to be at all palatable so I'll wait till there's a better deal or just go buy a different panel and deal with the adapters.
