Does this grill have a metal backing or is it just open on the backside? All Gas grills used to be enclosed but to save money many manufacturers leave the back of the grill open now.

From the side pictures, it looks to be half bottom enclose and top half open.

If you have BJs membership, check charbroil version in black and stainless steel with side burner on left side for $300 - $50 off regularly on sale.

In my opinion, Charbroil makes some of the worst grills anymore. I would look at the Expert grills from Walmart first. So much value for the money there.

I have had this grill for a few years. Love it. I paid the same at that time. It isn't the fanciest, but for 299, full SS construction is nice and the burners have done well for me.

I wouldn't know, but I hope that helps someone looking for a grill. I just bought charbroil and was very surprised at the build quality of knobs and surfaces although frame is thin. I bought it exclusively for the side burner to fry stuff outside to avoid smelling up the home. I can't stand cooking odors and $250 grill with 11000 btu side burner was perfect answer.

It's a $100 more, but you do get your money's worth and then some. Still, not really fair to a grill at 3/4 the cost.

I think both look fine, and I'm not sure I would call Nexgrill a "Name Brand", but there are benefits to that $30 price difference.
