Thanks for posting the deal, I've been thinking about getting this instead of water deliveries but I still can't wrap my head around wasting 2.1 gallons for 1 gallon of water, so every glass of water you drink 2.1 glasses will be wasted. I wouldn't mind if the waste water was sent to a separate holding tank to water the lawn, bird bath, some kind of reuse but I just can't see myself wasting that much water. If you must get RO, then this is still much better than others at 1:4 ratio, though item page claims others waste as much as 10 gallons for 1 gallon filtered water that's insane..

Definitely not 20 more jugs for 10 jugs I get delivered every 2 months, but I get your point, I was thinking about that when I posted, since it's spring water I don't think they filter those as much to waste so much water, even if they do I assume it's water that gets purposed somehow. Whereas water wasted at municiple waste just goes to sewer and not repurposed, at least where I live gets dumped to ocean.

What about the manufacturing of the plastic containers they use? Also FYI this machine seems to use a powered pump, most times those systems are more efficient with water like it produces 3-4 gallons of filtered water for every 1 gallon of waste. I have one from frizzlife and those are the stats. The systems with the huge reservoirs are the ones that produces more waste than filtered water.

We use ZERO water filters. It's not a system connected to water lines, but it's clean with no wasted water.

This locks you into a proprietary system for filters. Get a universal filter system such as Ispring and save yourself crazy yearly expenses.
