This is only really useful if you use the eero router or for some reason need ONVIF cameras on Ring

Critical Ring users have noted that its ability to store video footage locally on the micro SD card is decent for the privacy issue. But if you want to see the footage remotely, Alarm Pro has to upload / relay that clip to the cloud first.

YMMV, local storage not supported on all cameras.

Pretty sure the $99/yr subscription level is good enough for that feature.

You can run eero router / wifi alongside, say, an Asus network, where the eero WAN port is connected to a configured Asus LAN port (in DMZ mode, to maintain Alarm Pro's cloud access/features).

You can not turn off Wifi on this. (There might be a hack during setup) It is also designed to replace your router, so you have to find work arounds for that too.

I sent mine back. I did not care to fool with it.

Had one of these, wasn't really a fan. I pulled out all my Ring stuff due to their poor reputation when it comes to privacy.
