What does FPS matter for a tool like this? I've found it to be really effective for identifying poorly insulated wall spaces and even seeing where critters have walked or fresh droppings in the dark. A lot of this type of use you don't really need a high fps, and if you do need a higher fps for a thermal camera you'd want a higher end model anyways. $100 for this is pretty great as other models in this price range are typically a much smaller pixel dimension for the sensor so lower resolution to use it for say looking around a room or object more than like 15 feet away.

92x92 actual image sensor (fake 240x240 tisr). Horrible spec sensor. You can get a legit 192x192 sensor for only a couple more. This is a significantly better camera for $30 more

Set my deal alerts, yeah def go based on the actual sensor and if it isn't advertised just assume it is the lowest resolution. I'm not sure if the fusion ones with a camera are any better but I've been waiting on a deal on one of those to pop up

While I do agree that these fake Chinese specs are questionable, the one you linked is also not very good as it lacks a ccd overlay.

Overlay IMHO is a must have for things like motherboard and laptop repairs if you need to pinpoint faulty components. Without it, you rely entirely on the thermal sensor resolution.

In my experience, the best options are the usb-c plug in cameras that mix the thermal sensor and your phone sensor to make a decent accurate image.

Even crappy ones are cool as hell. And as long as you're looking at basic things and not tiny parts on a PCB it's good. Round AC leaks and can see pipes in walls. It's cool as hell. Also like in call of duty you can see footprints it's wild lol

No this doesn't allow you to "see through" anything. You'll see the roof on the screen and only if whatever animal generated enough heat to change the temperature of the roof will that area have a visible change.

Only if the critter is Bianca Del Ciao, the Boer goat.
