Seems like pretty normal prices for Walmart for most of these oils.

Odd that they are having an oil sale while all the news says the auto industry is running out of oil for their new cars and to expect shortages, especially on the new thinner oils.

Agreed. This surprised me too, but it looks like there's plenty of supertech 0w-16 left. I guess the issue was overblown and pull panic buying set in.

What is listed on Walmart.com: Platinum Full Synthetic

Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic (listed in post) is not the same as Platinum Full Synthetic.

As previous threads have mentioned there are some rebates as well. I believe Pennzoil ultra platinum has a 30 dollar rebate 10qt and mobile one has 10 rebate per 5qt (up to 4). Walmart store (not shipping) is authentic. People's experience with actually getting them are mixed, though personally I have had good luck.

Have never had issues getting the rebate from Mobil, and even castrol wasn't too bad. SOPUS aka Pennzoil/Shell are weasels though

Reduced supply, but the real issue is that because of the reduced supply refineries are directing more of it to stuff like jet fuel because that has higher profit margins. As existing warehouse inventory comes down, prices will tick up.

I also have never had an issue of getting the rebates from Mobil or Pennzoil. I received my rebates from both companies in last year's promotions after purchasing the oil from Walmart in store.

Pennzoil does have their yearly rebate program going on so that plus this might help - note you can't submit rebates from online purchases
