Someone convince this isn't great vs my aging 1.5ah non powerstacks? I use a DCF891 impact wrench, and even those batteries hold up well.

Sorry, I love these things. They are barely bigger than the 12v batteries, and for many tools/jobs the run time is plenty adequate for the size/weight savings.

Yeh agreed on the size, worth the price over 2x3.5ah for $134 though? ugh.

The maximum output of the POWERPACK 1.7Ah is 30A, compared to 23A on the 1.5Ah. So about 30% more peak output (if the tool draws that much current). The bigger thing to me is it has much less power sag and can sustain the current.

These my go to on all of my smaller tools--impacts, drills, one-handed recip, compact router, angle grinder--pretty much everything up to my compact portable bandsaw. I love not lugging around a large battery and not compromising on the performance, at least for compact tools.

Yea, because they are so much smaller. Lower capacity, but smaller and cheaper. They hit a sweet spot for me in my current use. The tools I'm using them in are already compact, and I'm not running them continuously for long periods of time. If they already last the entire job, why would I need one that is almost twice the size and price? When I ordered these yesterday, Lowes gave me an additional 10% off "members reward", so $71 for a pair worked out to be a SD for me. No, not the old $10/ah standard, but I'm not seeing much of that on the latest tech batteries.
