I've had one of these since October, our plumber hated installing it, love the features though

First time I've had a bidet of any variety, much less a smart one, I don't foresee going back to a dumb flushy poor person terlet anytime in the future

The "dumb" $20 bidets are just as effective at (ahem) getting the job done. Plus they're a lot easier to install

It cost me about $500-$800 to install. They had to run electricity and get a dry wall person in. Also had to move the plumbing as well since it was too close to the toilet.

We put this in our master bath. Decided against for guests because smart toilets get complicated on how to flush.

Honestly yes. I've had a cheap $20 bidet for years. I've used a heated bidet before and it's not worth the effort of retrofitting one. My water is already room temperature. It's not unpleasant.

While I don't mind the super cold water blast from our well in the winter, others in my family are not so accepting. That's why there's heated options as well.

I LOVE MY BIDET! Been a bidet Gul for 20+ years! I don't understand why some people hate bidets.

Too close to the toilet? This is a bidet toilet.

I bought the V3 version 6ish months ago and no real complaints, minus wish it were a hair taller. Our other toilets are a bit higher so my wife feels she almost falls on this one and she's not wrong.

Everyone comments on the look and the warm seat, bidet sometimes splashes the seat even with the pressure down, and the flush power is much stronger than a traditional toilet, I had to turn the water valve to about half way, as it was too much pressure.

I did the install and assuming you aren't moving plumbing, this install is not bad at all, plumbing wise so I'm surprised to see complaints. As for electric, that took some work but again, no more difficult than running another outlet somewhere else.

Got the Horow version last deal. Installed it myself, and it was pretty straightforward. I like the mounting method and it's the only toilet in my house that doesn't rock now, haha. The wife loves it.

Retrofitted an outlet by running wires down the wash closet light switch. Works great. No drywall repairs, just over $100 in materials with the GE advanced silicone caulk, caulking tool, drywall knife, outlet, and retrofit box.

I started decades ago with the "medical bidets", no smart bidets back then. I prefer those over the "smart" bidets. The water volume & pressure are lacking with the smart bidets. The old Fashioned - I think they're called accessories fit by installing under the toilet seat, replacing toilet seat and connect to the hot & cold water. That pressure & volume is ORGASMIC!

I had the $20 bidet for 4 years. Yes, it does get the job done. I splurged $700 on toto s5 bidet seat after my wife complained about cold water for years.
Was it much better? Yes, the toto s5 was much better. As a guy, can i live with the $20 one, absolutely.

Agreed, although if your tap water temp gets really cold it can be unpleasant. My 2 favorite "fancy" bidet features are warm air dryer and heated seat. Basically removes the need for toilet paper.
