Sounds like a good car set/way better more efficient space wise than the last one I got. The drawer retention might be a concern for trunk/under seat storage though...
Haven't used it much/not sure on recent quality since my garage set is made in USA sears. RIP
Is Craftsman any good now? Honest question. I have some old Craftsman from back in the day but have no idea how the resurrected brand is.
The Craftsman brand was sold before Sears went bankrupt, so it was never resurrected, just sold off. It's still the same brand with the same reliability, but sockets have varying levels of quality as related to strength and intended user.
Craftsman offers various grades of mechanic's tool sets, including standard sets like the 298-piece set with 72-tooth ratchets for general use, and premium sets such as the 284-piece Overdrive set featuring high-torque technology and 180-tooth ratchets for enhanced grip and performance. Each set is designed to cater to different needs, from DIY projects to professional automotive repairs.
The Craftsman overdrive line is slightly higher quality, designed for use in situations where a nut/bolt head is rounded up to 70%. This set can remove rounded bolts/nuts.
fine set for most people. no 1/2 inch drive stuff limits you though. you won't be doing suspension stuff etc. but it will do just fine for the small jobs.

this set includes a 1/2 inch drive ratchet and some of the bigger 1/2" drive sockets. from my experience, the sockets included are usually the most common. a good majority of theses "big box store" sets wont include anything bigger than a 1" socket. so all axle sockets would have to be purchased separately anyway.

1. It has both SAE and metric sockets so half the sockets are useless.
2. This has too many bits or sockets. You need a smaller set.
Or
3. 1/2 of counts are bits and hex keys.

I use both sets, but prefer the overdrive sockets in the rare situations when the head is slightly rounded.
Craftsman partners with manufacturers to make the tools for them and slap their name of them. Same with their great lawn tractors.
