Hotline Miami is worth it for the soundtrack alone!

Hotline Miami was probably my favorite Vita game. Essentially a top down shooter, but in many ways a puzzle game. On a somewhat similar note, I Am Your Beast is like a first person version of it.

Community Reviews

Hotline Miami stands out as a fast top down shooter that also plays like a puzzle game, with a soundtrack that alone makes it memorable. CARRION gets praised as a fun, unusual game that is easy to finish, and Loop Hero, Pacific Drive, Dredge, and Broforce all come up as solid or highly entertaining picks. Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is described as a modern action game with a pseudo turn based feel, striking graphics, and enough depth to keep players busy for years, though the combat timing can feel awkward and the remake lands best with some original FF7 context.

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade can deliver modern action combat with accumulated action counters.

    SpartanTitan82labarbacoa

  • Hotline Miami can feel like a top-down shooter that also plays like a puzzle game.

    SDNick484

  • Hotline Miami can be worth buying for its soundtrack alone.

    Greatswordguy

  • CARRION can be an easy win for finishing a game, even for players who usually quit early.

    gmr2048

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade can feel frustrating until character switching becomes frequent.

    ryand7651

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade can have janky combat timings and occasional lighting issues.

    labarbacoa

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade may feel worse without playing the original game first.

    C_W

  • Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade training may not explicitly encourage switching characters often.

Yooooo, thank you for that rec. I would have never known about it. I've beaten hotline Miami 1 twice. I love that game.

Carrion was a super cool game. I'm not much a gamer and generally abandon games before finishing (hello adhd!). I finished Carrion. Twice.

Does Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade play like a modern game? I never played the original so I wouldn't be playing it through any nostalgia goggles. Wondering if it'll still be fun from a modern perspective.
I was a staunch "FF7 is the most over hyped thing in gaming" until I played the remake, now I get it.

Without playing the original you STILL don't get it. The remake is worse

is Red Dead Redemption & Red Dead Redemption 2 Bundle $39 a good deal?
If you get those, you could be playing them for years ^_^Rockstar put an unhealthy amount of love into them, and it shows. Also, and maybe it's a bias for the wilderness/western setting, but I felt more compelled to play the story and see what would happen next (even in the older one), where in the GTA games I'd rather listen to the radio, play the minigames, do anything else besides the main story.

I recommend checking out CARRION, if you haven't. It was a fun game.
