Was debating on if this was worth posting or not.
You definitely can't build this machine for this price on your own, and it's in stock. These are about the highest specs you can get on a home machine at the moment, and the 5090 alone is stupid overpriced and would recoup most of the cost of the pc if you wanted to sell it.
This was on backorder and I placed an order after my desktop died. I didn't expect it to get in stock, especially when the same spec from skytech is ~$6400 right now. I was shocked when I got the shipping notification. Not sure how many they have in stock but I doubt it'll last long
This is the cheapest I could build an equivalent-ish pc with cheapest available prices on pcpartpicker. Almost $1400 more expensive than this prebuilt

This Skytech build stands out as a high end RTX 5090 gaming and productivity rig, with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D drawing praise for strong gaming and heavy workload performance. The 64GB of DDR5 memory and 4TB NVMe SSD add real value, and the non proprietary parts make it feel less locked down than many prebuilts. The main hesitation is price, since the same tier has cheaper 5090 options and the exact component mix can feel less transparent. It is a strong fit when top tier GPU power and a ready to run system matter most.
Common Questions (5)
Yes, it is being treated as one of the better 5090 prebuilt deals available right now, especially if you want the RTX 5090 plus 64GB RAM and a 4TB SSD. A cheaper 5090-only option exists, but this build adds a stronger CPU and more storage for the price.
It is described as not being a true proprietary prebuilt because the parts are equivalent, non-proprietary components rather than locked-down OEM pieces. The tradeoff is that the exact components are not guaranteed in advance, only equivalent replacements.
Yes, it can still accept an order while backordered, and one order later shipped even after showing that status. If the listing lets you check out, it may still fulfill when stock returns.
Yes, the 9950X3D is described as considerably faster than the 9900X3D, especially in gaming and heavy productivity. It is also said to help maintain high frame rates, which matters in a 5090-class system.
It can be, because the RTX 5090 is framed as cheaper to own than renting cloud GPUs if you use it regularly and can resell it later. At roughly $0.99 per hour on Runpod, long daily usage can add up to more than the cost of ownership.

I am using it for some AI experiments and since it will hold its value, it's a free rental.
Using runpod as an example, salad is cheaper
5090 GPU is $0.99 per hour.
if I just run 8 hours a day * 30 days = $240 a month
24 hours a day if not managed well and waste time ... ooof = $712 a month
I've had my first 5090 for about 2 months now. I think I leave it on 12 hours a day cuz I'm lazy (electricity cost isn't that much but whatever).
$350 a month * 2 months so around $700 cost of using a Runpod Service vs. owning a 5090 (which I know I can resell)
I think many people are doing the same, using the 5090 for AI purposes and it can often be cheaper than getting a cloud GPU.
