I have 4-5 sets of different types. They are unused fir years
But pocket hole screws are used for a lot of other things. I prefer to use them for when a washer under the screw head might come in handy. If you take a look at "production wood screws," you might get a feel for where you could use them. They just work better when you are using a power driver. They work better if you plan on disassembling, too.
