This checks all the boxes for me. A multitool has to be above all, cheap and affordable. Those are not specialized tools and have no purpose to replace them.
I am using one like this pretty much daily and to me it is the best MT out there - has good warranty, great steel, lightweight, not self centered requiring a belt loop, with tight tolerances, and springs in the pliers. It is a great deal. It used to be $35 regular price at HD.
I have one from about 15 years ago, when it was < $20 (those were the good ol days). It was pretty terrible with loose and sharp tools that would come undone in your pocket with dangerous results. No way to tighten up . Likely have revised, but better to wait for a Leatherman deal.
