That guy in video needs some help lol.
6'3" here.
Cut a pool noodle to length of bar, use knife to slit it lengthwise, slide over bar.
First world problem, solved.

Just fyi.. I love these chairs and have had them for a few years.. however, they have started to rust... rain also can get trapped inside the rails, rust them and then come pouring out when you move the chairs to open them days later... ruined many a pair of shorts this way.

Not good if you are 6'2... Your feet hit the metal bar.

I grabbed these the last time they were on sale. You can't close it with the side table on, not that big of a deal, they are a pain to open and close, they are also pretty small, even my wife who is 5'2" says she feels very cramped in them. I'm 6'4" and I really don't enjoy sitting in them.

Great chairs to put out when you don't want someone to stay long.

We've had the same experience. They rusted even in the first year (like yours- inside the metal, not outside), and the rusty water runs out a lot. We had them on our deck around our pool, and the rust discolors the deck. Otherwise, they are nice chair but this has stopped us from using them because we bought them for our pool deck and it makes a big rusty water mess.

Exactly the same issue with the ones I have. I have a solution for this though, Just take them inside when not in use and they wont get wet and so won't have those issues. They will last a lot longer too. My 91yr old FIL loves these chairs for sunbathing.

Kinda crazy how many years this basic design has existed without changing. Simple, quite comfortable. Just works.
But yeah, the one I have had for those many years has never and never will stay out in the rain. No rust.

have had these for several years. surprisingly comfortable and a great deal at this price. ours didn't rust, but the elastic bungee stuff frayed and failed, possibly due to sun or rabbit nibbling. bought another set because they're totally worth it.
