I picked this Anvil socket set in store for the same price couple months ago. I was pleasantly surprise to see the quality of the set.
Handle is heavy and all sockets are nicely chromed. Good quality for the price.

I have 2 or 3 full sets of tools in the heavy tool chests but when I need a socket for that fence bracket or xxx I can't judge the size I need and grabbing 3 to 5 sockets to take and check almost guarantees some lost socket so for $9 I can grab this set and determine the size and maybe do the job or determine the correct size for my higher quality socket to bring back with one of my impact wrenches. Bought 2 so I can give the nephew a set for his fishing boat.

For under $10 delivered to my door same day, I could not resist. I am sure the rachet drive is crap, but nice to have the extra sockets. pretty much disposable at this price.

Except for the nicer case, it looks identical to the Harbor Freight set—like it came out of the same factory that's been making them probably 30+ years for Harbor Freight. I think I remember Harbor Freight's being $2.99 or something like that with a coupon a long time ago.

Same factory as Harbor Freight #62843, it's that set version 2.0 basically. Home Depot's website used to use the same product photos as from HF's website, likely manfacturer-supplied. I pointed this out in a previous thread, and then magically Home Depot's website photos changed...

It *IS* different than the HF set though, that's why I call it version 2.0. Has a better case, which is the most annoying part of the HF set.

The Home Depot "Anvil" brand one is the best, but here are the other similars:

HF set has a lifetime warranty - none of the others do.

This set was around in the 90s under the name Alltrade. You could find it at Biglots for about $4 back then. Trash then, trash now.

Sorry but I don't trust Home Depot with these deals anymore. I recently did this and they not only canceled my order but required me to come into the store for some reason to get my refund. Trashy company.
