I had the same question last time these went on sale and from what I read you don't need a 15ga unless you have a bunch of doors you need to hang

Yeah I don't need it. Maybe garden planter boxes but that's overkill. However I think with these deals you can return the battery and be refunded that amount. Makes the nailer even a better deal if you have the batteries already.

I think the "return hack" only works with Home Depot. Did you try it with Lowe's?

Probably not, I have both and they're pretty similar.

18 is better for trim if you want to skip filling holes but 16 is a sweet spot in my experience.

So it does work. Returned a battery yesterday from a buy one get one free deal. For example, buy the nailer for $199 and after purchase in the order details it breaks it down so the nailer is like $138 and battery $62.

The 15 gauge "DA" nail guns are mostly designed for exterior trim, or indoor trim that requires quite a bit of structural strength. They have a substantially larger head than 16 gauge, so much more holding power. I skipped 16 gauge, and run 15 or 18, depending on how much holding power I need.

Why can no one make a good cordless finish nailer? Has this one for 12-15 clips worth of use, and like the Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Makita, I returned it due to jamming.
