Product Description:
The Bosch GNH18V-15MA 18V Brushless 15-gauge Angled Finish Nailer delivers power and precision in a cordless solution. Compact and ergonomically designed, the 15-gauge angled finish nailer operates at a 34-degree angle giving workers the flexibility to access tight spaces, while also helping reduce worker fatigue. The efficient, brushless motor delivers the power to consistently sink 15-gauge angled finish nails ranging from 1-¼ In. to 2-½ In. which makes it ideal for fastening interior trims, crown moldings, baseboards, window and door casings, and other dense wood applications. The 15-gauge finish nailer features an angled magazine with a capacity of 105 nails. When paired with a CORE18V 4 Ah battery (sold separately), it can fasten up to 1, 200 nails per charge, ensuring extended productivity. One-handed activation simplifies operation for quick and hassle-free nailing that is suitable for both right- and left-handed users. Equipped with a large viewing window and a no-mar contact tip, the 15-gauge angled finish nailer provides superior line of sight, helping minimize costly mistakes by giving workers improved sight of the workpiece while in use. The dry-fire lockout feature automatically stops operation when down to the last five nails. This not only prevents blank firing but also safeguards the workpiece from potential damage. Make easy and precise adjustments to the depth setting with the ergonomic thumb wheel. Additionally, downtime is minimized as jammed nails can be quickly cleared through a tool-free release mechanism while on the job. An intuitive user interface allows for easy toggling between single and bump-fire modes, turns the LED light on and off, and informs the worker of scheduled maintenance of the tool. An integrated heavy-duty belt hook provides easy portability and storage between tasks. Bosch 18V Brushless 2-1/2-in 15 -Gauge Cordless Finish Nailer one_size | GNH18V-15MAN

I had the same question last time these went on sale and from what I read you don't need a 15ga unless you have a bunch of doors you need to hang
Yeah I don't need it. Maybe garden planter boxes but that's overkill. However I think with these deals you can return the battery and be refunded that amount. Makes the nailer even a better deal if you have the batteries already.

I think the "return hack" only works with Home Depot. Did you try it with Lowe's?

So it does work. Returned a battery yesterday from a buy one get one free deal. For example, buy the nailer for $199 and after purchase in the order details it breaks it down so the nailer is like $138 and battery $62.

If I have a 16ga nailer do I need a 15ga? Just a random diy around the house guy here
The 15 gauge "DA" nail guns are mostly designed for exterior trim, or indoor trim that requires quite a bit of structural strength. They have a substantially larger head than 16 gauge, so much more holding power. I skipped 16 gauge, and run 15 or 18, depending on how much holding power I need.
Why can no one make a good cordless finish nailer? Has this one for 12-15 clips worth of use, and like the Milwaukee, Dewalt, and Makita, I returned it due to jamming.

18 is better for trim if you want to skip filling holes but 16 is a sweet spot in my experience.
