Very similar to the F4 version 2.0 with the centered Lat pull down and Row pull points with 1:1 ratio feature. But this F7 has 110lbs selectable weight stack and weight horns to add plate weights. Lot of accessories similar to the F4 version 2.0.

No functional trainer system on the front posts, but you can make hook up fixed-eye pulley, 7 feet of rope, couple D-handles to the Lat or Row points and do quite a bit of functional trainer exercises. This F7 also includes the all important lap brace pad for heavier Lat Pull Downs. Easily $100 or more accessory you would have to buy if a squat rack did not include it like this F7 and F4 version 2.0.

On the official Mikolo website, they show the F4 ELITE squat rack as having this selectable weight stack for $649.

I sent a chat message to Mikolo to ask if I can add with select weight stack to the F2 version 2.0 I bought in Jan, 2026? Hope they respond with a yes.
Mikolo does have other racks that can convert from just plate weight to a selectable weight stack with plate weight horns, so I'm hopeful this one can be converted too.

For about $100 more than the F4 version2.0. , the F7 having 110lb selectable weight stack would make using the cable for some functional trainer exercises more convenient.

Looks tempting. My buddy has a different one and likes his and is trying to convince me to grab one too for $300: https://a.co/d/0fbVyl1H

I like the weight stack of this one for convenience but if I'm being cheap it might make more sense to get this $300 one and put the $100 towards plates. Anyone have any suggestions?

Check the cable ratio. Pulleys involved means weight load value is diminished. You'll probably need more weights pretty quickly.

Be sure you check the features of the $300 rack on that link of yours. It looks like 4-inch spacing between the holes instead of 2-inch spacing. Also, in the Q&A it shows it is 16-gauge which is much thinner than the F4 version 2.0 or this F7 at 14-gauge.

The F4 version 2.0 is about $300 on Walmart and has a Lat pull down lap brace pad.

If I had to do it over again, I'd get a rack with a weight stack rather than save money by going with plate loaded. A weight stack could save you ~10 minutes per workout, over time that's a lot of time saved. Another reason could be is let's say you wanted to superset between two different cable exercises where the amount you lift for each of them varied a lot, doing that quickly with plate loaded is not possible while it's just a matter of moving a pin if you have a weight stack.

I agree. I have the F4 version 2.0 from just a few months ago. But this F7 with selectable weight stack (or the F4 Elite model) was not available. I would also bought this one for about $100 more and all the same other features. Especially since it has 1 to 1 ratio cable system. You can still hook up a line with D-ring handles on the high LAT pull down point or the low ROW pull point to do a variety of functional trainer stuff.

The weight stack being placed at the back there will make this stick out so far from the wall. It's going to look weird in a garage. In an open floor gym it'd look fine. But in a garage or house it's going to look weird not having the cage right against the wall.

Nope. Mikolo replied: "the F4 2.0 can't be upgraded with the F7 weight stack or the F4 Elite selectable stack system. Those stacks aren't sold as add-ons for the F4 2.0. Hope for your kind understanding."

In think the weight stack is no deeper in depth from the wall than the weight plates that go on those horns. But any center weight system in the back will make the unit further away from the back wall as you said.

Lol yep, always go with weight stacks if that cable machine has multiple workouts you can do off it.

I have a dedicated lat tower that also has a row section. Annoying I have to change out plates because I can't row as much as I do pull-ups/lat pull downs =/

All I'll say is this I have never heard someone regret buying the weight stack version, but always hear people regretting they didn't and even paying a premium to add it on some products. I really like this rack but wish it had adjustable arms to double as a functional trainer. You can do a ton with the high and low pulley but idk, tough choice.
